The Faculty of Geography Universitas Gadjah Mada, notably the Department of Environment Geography has been working for a long time on environmental issues. In order to highlight the topic of environmental resource management in the global region and to broaden perspectives on this subject, the Faculty will organize “The 3rd International Conference on Environmental Resources Management in Global Region”. ICERM 2019 will be concerned with the theme “Community Resilience and Climate Change: Interactions, Opportunities, Risks, and Challenges”.

The conferences will address the following topics:

  • Land use change;
  • Livelihood (rural livelihood, urban livelihood);
  • Local wisdom and institution response;
  • Human and natural resources;
  • Environmental management;
  • Disaster and early warning system;
  • Food security;
  • Population mobility
  • Poverty alleviation
  • Land, water and natural resources
  • Eco-health

The conference invites notable speakers as follows :

  2. Prof. Ben White (International Institute of Social Studies, Erasmus University)*
  3. Prof. Lee Boon Thong (University of Malaya)
